The Hydrants that are produced by the Louisville Water Company are used mainly for the jobs of protecting from fire. There are as many as 20,000 hydrants available with the company. But, the news is something different. Some of the companies are planning to use this water supply for the purpose of free water supply. One of the company Buechel has started to stock the waters from the hydrant and these illegal and unauthorized stocking of water was caught in camera by one of the passerby. This is clearly a theft and has shocked the Louisville Water Company and even the authorities. The box truck that was involved in this disgusting job was named with the logo “Mid South Pressure Cleaning”. The photographs are clearly showing a person holding a hose hooking up to a hydrant pouring the water tank inside the truck.
The Company was shocked with the photograph and said that they have issued no temporary meter to the company and will definitely ask the hydrant about the truth of these pictures. The owner of Mid South Pressure Cleaning, Joe Sexton revealed that the logo of the pictured truck is exposing the name of his company but he said that there is same crew with my brother even. The matter is getting more and more confused as the brother of Joe Sexton is denying having even a single truck of their own.
Joe Sexton is still denying the pictures and is blaming that there are many of the other companies filling up the trucks from the Public Hydrant like National Turnpike and getting the illegal waters. The construction companies also are filling the tankers from these places. There are many of the views taken of different authorities of fire Chiefs and officers of Louis Water Company. Everyone has their own views but commonly all are criticizing the deeds of filling water illegally from the public hydrant.
Jeff Cornell said, “I have seen a pressure washing company parking their vehicles for half an hour to park their vehicles in front of hydrants and using larger amount of water which overflows from the box trucks”. The chief of Fire brigade said that, “The main focus is not only the water theft but also are the improper handling and bog chances of damaging the hydrants. The ill-trained people are making a mess in the hydrants and are creating huge loss of damaging the hydrants which much more than the water loss. Even if we see practically, we can find that the hydrants are spaced about 500 feet from each other and if there is any damage, the thousands feet far located hose will slower down the operation at the time of catching a fire”.
The Louisville Water Company also has alarmed the danger of slowing down and lowering the flow control of water due to this unauthorized water use and theft. The company has also made a public request to call the company in case of any of such theft seen or experienced. The company ahs also took some preventive measures by sending water meters to some of the companies to check their water usage. Also the other checking is geared up by the company. |
